SkillsUSA
In January 2020, 15 seniors in my AED II course participated in the Technical Drafting competition for SkillsUSA. The students were judged by former AED teacher Stephen Heringes and by Nick Hislop from ACT Engineers.

Our top three students were:
1 - Sean Cronin
2 - Jamie Gustad
3 - Jaida Gordon

All three show great promise in their fields.

Necessary Skills to Be Taught
In the last meeting, it was suggested that theory about electrical diagrams and schematics, and how to draw them, should be taught. Since this meeting, I have planned to incorporate electrical engineering and electronics into the AED curriculum starting this fall 2021.
