This is my current curriculum for what I will be teaching students during their two years. This includes much of what has been taught in past years as well as some new skills.
Year 1
Engineering design process
Mechanical drawing
2D drafting in AutoCAD (floor plans and engineering drawings)
OSHA training (with David Nash)
Job seeking skills
Floor plan designs and considerations
Electronics and electrical diagrams**
3D modeling in Inventor
Machines and mechanisms
Residential design in Revit (and building of scale model of house and roof)

Year 2
Reinforcement of AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit Skills
Job seeking skills (especially in the context of preparing students for CIE)
Preparation and training for SkillsUSA
Introductory computer programming and robotics (aligning with Inventor skills, meant to increase mechanical skills)**
Civil engineering (aligning with Revit skills)**

** Means I will be teaching these for the first time in the 2020-2021 school year.

Question to CAC Members
In addition to these, or to supplement these, which skills do you believe are necessary for the AED students to be taught so that they are prepared for an internship during their senior year or for work after they graduate?
